A Decorah construction firm is being hired to remodel the Winneshiek County Courthouse Annex.
Dave Hanson, the owner of Fixxit Hanson, LLC, submitted the low bid of $6,228 to make changes inside the Annex building. The work will include removing countertops inside the building and creating a new bathroom area. It will also include a priming coat and two finish coats of paint, as well as disposal of the material removed from the building.
A second quote, from A & J Construction, was $2,000 higher. County supervisors approved Hanson's bid, with the understanding that he could do the work any time over the winter.
