Collision with deer causes $8,000 in damages

The Fayette County Sheriff's Office reports 61-year-old Alan Thorton of Decorah was involved in a car versus deer accident on Saturday.

Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies were called to the 1000 block of Bell Road. Thorton was traveling westbound when he struck a deer that was traveling across the roadway. Minor injuries were reported and Thorton's 2017 Nissan Murano sustained approximately $8,000.00 in damages. The Fayette County Sheriffs Office was assisted by Arlington Ambulance and Fire.
