Vesterheim museum and heritage center has started a new monthly hand-craft workshop.
The free workshop allows people to bring fiber projects in progress to the Bruening Visitors Center at 523 W. Water Street from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on the third Sunday of each month starting this Sunday.
The projects can include weaving, spinning or spindling, knitting, crocheting, quilting, needle felting, nalbinding, embroidery--anything that can be carried to the gathering.
Said Vesterheim Education Specialist Darlene Fossum-Martin, "Leave your stress behind—creating with your hands in community with others is known to be a great stress reducer and good for the soul."
