The Depot awards Sunflower Child Development Center $2,000 grant

The Depot Outlet has awarded a $2,000 grant to Sunflower Child Development Center to help pay for a new playground for the school aged children.

To help raise the money needed for the new playground Sunflower held a fundraiser where families sold Scratch Cupcakes.  It also raffled off a Grizzly cooler during Nordic Fest and received donations from other business.

Sunflower serves about 100 families, with about 140 kids attending. There are 55 kids in the school age room (kindergarten and up) who are able to ride the bus to and from school every day.
