Decorah School Board members met for two and a half hours Monday night in closed session, discussing all the issues involved in the search for the site for a new elementary school.
School Superintendent Mike Haluska says the long meeting was productive. He says school board members have a few questions they need to discuss with architects and attorneys. However, says Haluska, he's expecting the school board will be able to make an announcement "in a couple of weeks."
Any decision about pursuing a particular course for a new elementary school would have to be ratified at an upcoming open meeting of the school board.
