Skyline Construction is only bid for Quarry Hill Road project

Skyline Construction has submitted the only bid for a project with Quarry Hill Road. The bid was for $299,750.12 and was unanimously approved by the Winneshiek County board of supervisors. The original estimate was close to $340,000, and the board was pleased with this low bid.

Road work to be done includes some pipe work, a small amount of grading, 500 tons of rip rap to help control the bank erosion, grade correction for the distortions on the road, a new road base, and a new asphalt top.

The project will begin this September.
