Vesterheim and ArtHaus awarded grants from Iowa Arts Council

The Iowa Arts Council has awarded grants totaling $1.3 million, including two grants to Decorah-based organizations.

The grants to Vesterheim Norwegian-American Museum and to ArtHaus were among 152 grants awarded to artists and organizations in 66 communities.

Vesterheim will receive a $20,000 grant.  The funding will help to support the operating expenses of the museum.

ArtHaus will receive a $2,500 grant.  Their funding also will help to support the operating expenses of the organization.
