City of Decorah officials will explore the possibility of having a "Sister City" in Norway.
City council member Andy Carlson Wednesday night was given approval to look into the Sister Cities International program. Carlson says he's had a constituent suggest to him that Decorah should have a sister city. He likes the idea of the sister city being in Norway--Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger and Trondheim are all participants in the Sister City International program.
Carlson says the only cost to the City of Decorah would be a yearly $295 registration fee.
