Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reports a two-vehicle accident

The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Office reports two drivers were involved in a motor vehicle accident on Friday afternoon south of Fort Atkinson.

29-year-old Allen Massman of Calmar was north bound on W14 when 18-year-old Garrison Kruse of Fort Atkinson pulled out from the stop sign into the path of Massman's 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. Massman was not able to avoid Kruse and struck the rear passenger side of Kruze's 2008 Dodge Charger. Massman's vehicle came to rest on W14 and Kruse's vehicle rolled into the NE ditch.

Kruse was cited for failure to yield to vehicle on the right. No ambulance transport was needed. The accident resulted in $14,000 in property damage.
