


The Decorah Police Department says a two-vehicle accident caused $9,000 in damages on Wednesday morning.
33-year-old Dustin Severson of Decorah was northbound on Mechanic Street and was entering the intersection at West Main Street when 21-year-old Trevor Brandt failed to yield and entered the intersection causing Severson to hit Brandt's vehicle.
Severson's 2010 Chevrolet Malibu sustained $4,000 in damages and Brandt's 2016 Nissan Versa sustained $5,000 in damages. Brandt was issued a citation for failure to yield.
