Northeast Iowa RC&D Recognized for Contributing to State's $8 Billion Tourism Industry

The Iowa Tourism Office is recognizing Northeast Iowa Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) for the area's work on behalf of Iowa's $8 billion tourism industry.
Northeast Iowa RC&D Executive Director Lora Friest says her agency has learned that travel and tourism generate $2.55 million in local tax revenue and 1,140 jobs in the counties Northeast Iowa RC&D represents.
May is Tourism Month in Iowa.
