The financial situation at Winneshiek Medical Center continues to be fair--not excellent, but not terrible, either.
Total patient revenues for WMC were $9.4 million in March--higher than February's total, but just slightly below budgeted figures. Net Operating Revenues were $5.0 million--at budget.
March's Total Operating Expenses were unfavorable to budget, however, at $5.0 million . Compared to last year at this time, operating expenses have increased 6.3 percent, while net revenues have increased 2.4 percent.
For the month, Winneshiek Medical Center had a net gain of $69,134 in March. Year-to-date that figure is $1,623,705, which includes $694,335 of non-operating revenues, such as donations.
