Decorah man honored by nationwide trucking association

Dave Panos has over 2 million miles without an accident on this 1998 freightliner

A Decorah man has been recognized by the Owner/Operator Independent Drivers Association, a trucking association.

The Association says it has awarded a Safe Driving Award for truck driving excellence to Dave Panos of Decorah.  The award was presented for 16 years of safe, accident-free driving while he has been a customer of theirs, but overall Panos has not had an accident in over 40 years.
