The Decorah School District will have two new buses starting next fall.
The Decorah School Board Monday night approved the purchase of an 84-passenger bus and a 77-passenger bus.
The 84-passenger bus, which will cost just under $106,000, will be used primarily to take students to sporting events. The bus will come from Bluebird buses.
The 77-passenger bus will be purchased from Hogland for just under $87,000. In recent years the school district has been buying 77-passenger buses for morning and afternoon routes instead of 65-passenger buses because around a dozen of the routes have high student passenger counts.
