Iowa alcohol review group continues to meet

A 15-member advisory group will meet in Des Moines Tuesday to resume its work on possible revisions to the state's liquor laws.

Toppling Goliath owner Clark Lewey spoke to the group last month, outlining how state laws will force the closing of the TG sampling room on College Drive once the new brewery building and its sampling room opens next year.

Group spokesperson Robert Bailey says the advisory committee will meet in December, then on January 12th for a final vote on recommendations to Governor Terry Branstad.  The group will ask the legislature to consider the recommendations it made--including the possible lifting of the restriction on the number of sampling rooms operated by microbreweries.
