Dragonfly Books is teaming up with local Decorah author/illustrator Brian Andreas to celebrate Small Business Saturday and the release of Brian's new book "Bring Your Life Back to Life: A Guide for Effortless Joy."
"A clear-sighted new book from Brian Andreas about choosing a life that truly lights you up & beginning to walk towards that. Every. Single. Day. With surprising simplicity, 'Bring Your Life Back To Life' opens up how you choose a fully alive life in every moment," (www.brianandreas.com).
Andreas is an internationally celebrated artist and writer known worldwide for celebrating the strength and beauty of the human spirit. You may know him locally as the creator of StoryPeople, but that is just the beginning. In addition to his work as an author, illustrator, and artist, Andreas has partnered with fellow artist Fia Jack Skye to create "A Hundred Ways North," a shared space where the artists provide resources such as workshops and conferences for practicing presence.
Andreas recognizes the importance of small businesses, especially in our local community of Decorah. In regards to his helping to promote Small Business Saturday at Dragonfly Books this weekend, Andreas says, "The more we have here the more we weave a texture of community."
Small Business Saturday was launched by American Express in 2010 to encourage people across the country to support small businesses in their community. The movement has shown much growth and is now supported in every state across America.
Andreas will be helping at Dragonfly Books on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. -- 1:00 p.m. Everyone is invited for coffee, holiday shopping, and to learn more about Brian's new book.
