Winneshiek County is hiring a new IT director

Winneshiek County is getting a new IT Director.  The county and city have been without someone in that position since Chopper Albert resigned at the end of June.

A committee which has been screening candidates on Monday recommended hiring Luther College Web Programmer Analyst Steve Smith for the job.

The county board unanimously approved the recommendation and Smith will be offered the job.
