


The North Winneshiek School Board has approved an early retirement plan for qualified teachers.
School district officials say the purpose of the licensed employee early retirement plan is to provide certified employees the opportunity to retire early that will allow for an orderly means of attrition of employees and which recognizes employees who have provided many years of service to the North Winneshiek School District.
Under the plan, teachers who retire early can choose between $30,000 towards health insurance and a $30,000 cash option. Teachers have until Wednesday, January 4th to announce their retirement and apply for the early retirement plan.
