


81.6 percent of all registered voters in Winneshiek County cast a ballot in the November election. In overall numbers, that's 11,479 ballots cast out of 14,065 possible.
Voter turnout was fairly typical for a general election--in the last general election in 2012, 11,141 ballots were cast. However, at that time there was a smaller number of eligible voters--13,049--so the turnout was at 85 percent.
In Winneshiek County, the ballots were counted within two hours, with no problems reported.
