St. Benedict's teacher Lori Galligan and Decorah 6th grade author Jenna Hartz

Decorah 6th grader Jenna Hartz has written her first book--" The Guardians of Middle School."

She gives St. Benedict's teacher Lori Galligan credit for inspiring her to write.
Mrs. G and Jenna's 5th grade classmates are the main characters in the book. Java John's and  Mabe's Pizza are local establishments also mentioned.

Inspiring kids to read and to do what they love are two of Jenna's hopes for those who read her book.

Jenna will donate copies of her book to the Decorah Public Library, elementary schools and middle school. Dragonfly Books also has copies for purchase and will host a book signing with Jenna on Monday, November 28th.
