Indian food now being served in Decorah at Burl's

Burl's restaurant, located in the Nordic Express convenience store, is now offering an Indian cuisine lunch special on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

New owners Autar Cheema and Gurjit Kaur recently moved to Decorah from Philadelphia. They hired their friend Pal Brij from New York to work as the cook. All three are originally from India, and thought it would be interesting to offer Indian cuisine in Decorah.

They began serving their Indian lunch special three weeks ago, and the response has been "fantastic."  One of the local favorites is the chicken tikka masala.  Future plans include expanding the lunch special hours and menu.
