Ask Mr. Answer Person: "What's the latest news about the flood relief fund drive?"

Jeff asks, "What's the latest with flood relief fundraising?  I haven't heard anything lately."

Mr. Answer Person says: "Decorah Area Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Nikki Brevig says $90,000 has been raised toward flood relief in Winneshiek County.  NEICAC's David Boss says some much smaller amounts have been raised to help people in Allamakee, Fayette and Howard counties.
Brevig says the initial distribution meeting will be held soon for Winneshiek County recipients, but that date has not been set yet.

Meanwhile, another flood relief fundraiser is currently being organized for later in October, with details to be announced soon.  Money raised from October 19th through the 22nd will be included in the funds that will get disbursed.
