Today's students deal with a lot of issues and stressful situations. A new program starting Sunday night hopes to provide a fun, safe, denominationally-neutral place for Decorah area students to just hang out, worship God and talk about what God has to say about who we are.
"Elevate" will be held once a month at T-Bock's Upstairs on the first Sunday of each month. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with worship beginning at 7:00 p.m. Students will be welcomed, checked in, and come together for a relaxed worship and games, followed by a time of hang out with food. These monthly gatherings are led by youth leaders from Decorah Covenant, Decorah Lutheran, First Lutheran, and St. Benedict's churches.
All students in grades 7-12 are welcome and encouraged to come.
Adults from various Decorah churches also are encouraged to attend to help build relationships that can continue to grow in their congregations.
