The Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department says 20-year-old Cody Ritner of Decorah was northbound on Quarry Hill Road around 1:00 a.m. Sunday and did not see the barricade near the shoulder. When Ritner swerved to miss it, he lost control of his truck. The truck entered the ditch, went through a wooden fence and struck a tree.
The accident did $10,800 in damages. No ambulance transport was needed. Ritner was ticketed for failure to maintain control and for leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.
