Hearing will be held Thursday evening in Calmar dog bite case

A City of Calmar committee will meet at 5:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss the case of four bulldogs that attacked a woman and her dog, injuring the woman and killing the dog.  Under state law, a hearing must be held in such incidents to determine whether the dogs involved in the attack should be killed.

The four dogs have been kept in confinement since the attack.

Thursday's 5:30 p.m. hearing will be held at the Calmar Fire Station.
