Opposition continues to a plan by Decorah residents Reed and Sandy Carlson to build a nearly 7,500-square-foot replica of Kinnick Stadium as a home in the Manville Heights neighborhood of Iowa City.
Neighbors have started a website, https://nilesaysno.wordpress.com/, which includes an on-line petition drive to get 200 signatures in opposition to the plan.
The website also includes a way for residents to get yard signs to post in the neighborhood. Already 126 people have signed the petition drive and the Iowa City Press-Citizen reports yard signs went up over the weekend.
An appeal filed by neighbors with the Iowa City Board of Adjustment will be discussed at 5:15 p.m. September 14th.
