Winneshiek County 4-H'er Dawson Bauer of Decorah has received a state 4-H poultry project award.
Dawson is the son of Fred and Suzi Bauer of Decorah.
A seven-year member of 4-H, he has completed projects on poultry, rabbits, market goats and photography. Dawson has served as the president, vice president and reporter of his 4-H club. He has also participated in his county 4-H council.
"4-H has made me a better leader," says Dawson. "Through activities, camps and club offices, I have gained responsibility as well as the experience of making decisions for others. I plan to use my leadership further in life during group activities and running a company. 4-H will always be a part of who I am."
