


Decorah Police officers were busy over the weekend.
Friday night around 10:00 they stopped a motorist on Division Street off Short Street. During the investigation, they discovered the driver--34-year-old Justin Pritchard of Decorah--was driving with a suspended license. Pritchard was arrested and taken to jail, where he was charged with Driving with a Suspended or Revoked License.
Saturday night around 10:45, officers made a traffic stop on Highway 9. During their investigation, they determined 20-year-old Dallas Helton of Charles City was intoxicated. While handling that investigation, they also found that a second driver in a separate vehicle--44-year-old Derek Todd of Ridgeway--was intoxicated.
Helton was charged with First Offense Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated, while Todd was charged with Second Offense Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated.
