Decorah Police say a Waukon woman was looking for a parking space on Day Spring Lane Friday afternoon. 16-year-old Victoria Williams passed an open parking space, stopped suddenly and began backing up. Unfortunately, there was a car behind her.
The accident did $3,000 in damages to a car driven by 22-year-old Alex Brandt of Swea City, Iowa--and no damage to Williams' car.
Williams was not ticketed, but Decorah Police concluded "The cause of the collission was (Williams') unsafe backing."
