North Winneshiek School Board approves superintendent sharing plan; also approves teachers contract

The North Winneshiek School Board has approved two significant personnel issues.

The board has given its approval to the shared superintendent's contract with Postville School District.  Postville will pay 75 percent of the shared contract with Tim Dugger, while North Winneshiek will pay 25 percent of the costs. The Iowa Department of Education will give both Postville and North Winneshiek  $54,000 in additional revenue as an incentive to share the superintendent's position for the 2016-2017 school year. 
   
The board also approved the master contract with teachers for the 2016-2017 school year.  The teachers received a 3.28 percent total package increase with a new base salary of $32,000.
