Humane Society seeks artists for fundraiser statue design

The Humane Society of Northeast Iowa is looking for artists to design statues for its third annual Tails & Treasures fundraiser.
 
Photos of the unpainted statues are on display at http://www.hsnei.org/tails-treasures-2016.   There is also information about how to submit proposals to HSNEI.
 
Complete proposals are due by April 15th.  Proposals must include the artist's name and contact information, past examples of artist's work, and written or visual description of design idea for specific statue(s).  Artists will be chosen by April 25th.  They will be given statues by May 1st.  Finished statues are due by July 15th.
 
Statues will be auctioned off at Tails & Treasures on Thursday, September 22 at Hotel Winneshiek.

HSNEI is also looking for "foster sponsors" for each of the statues. The foster fee is the price of the statue and will offset expenses.  "Foster parent" names will be included in all advertising about that particular statue as well as being recognized at the auction of the statue.  Individuals or sponsors interested in being a "foster sponsor" can email hsneiboard@gmail.com.
