


Contractors have been selected for the extensive renovations to the Agricultural Technology Building at the NICC Calmar campus that houses the John Deere TECH program.
David Finholt Construction has been awarded the general construction contract for $872,300; the electrical package was awarded to Voltmer Electric for $107,550; and the mechanical package was awarded to Becker Hardware for $345,194. . Larson Construction will serve as construction manager for the project.
The total project cost, including construction, architect, construction manager, engineer, equipment and miscellaneous expenses, is estimated to be $1,566,673, which will be funded entirely by the State of Iowa Accelerated Careers in Education (ACE) program. ACE funds may only be used for vertical infrastructure construction and improvements.
Construction will begin April 4th. NICC expects the project to be completed in October.
