The National Weather Service Office in La Crosse has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Decorah and Winneshiek County for late Wednesday and early Thursday,
The Weather Service is predicting the snow could start falling north of Interstate 90 during the day, then move south as colder air moves in during the day on Wednesday.
Wednesday evening could see heavy snow falling and significant reductions in visibility, making travel very difficult. The snow would end some time Thursday morning--but only after dumping 7-11 inches of snow.
The Weather Service says there is still the possibility that the storm track will shift slightly as it approaches Northeast Iowa.
