The Decorah School Board meets at 6:00 p.m. Monday to discuss a survey of West Side and John Cline school teachers and staff members.

The 50-page survey shows that over 75 percent of the people working in the two schools are dissatisfied with the conditions of the buildings.

Said one survey respondent, "It is challenging to stay positive about our needs.  We are not complainers!  (But) in the warm months it can truly be unbearable--it is hard to understand unless you actually spend time in our classroom ovens.  All we want is to provide the best and safe learning environment possible for our children.  We have made facelifts that help, but what would be best would be a new facility that meets the needs of all learners."
