Bids will be opened March 24th on Sweet Parkway extension

The Decorah City Council has unanimously approved the plans and specifications for the Sweet Parkway Improvement Project.

The proposed road extension would allow further expansion of the city's business park near the airport, off Highway 9.  The project is expected to cost just under $750,000.  The Iowa Department of Transportation's RISE grant program would pay $364,375 of that cost.

Bids on the project will be opened March 24th, with the city council voting on the bids on April 4th.
