Saturday's high temperature set a record

Yes, the high temperature in Decorah set a record on Saturday--a record that had stood for more than a century.

While the forecast high for the day was 52 degrees, the official temperature reached 59 degrees--four degrees higher than the 55 degree record set in 1896. 

Some places in Decorah registered even higher temperatures on Saturday--as high as 64 degrees.
