Postville woman arrested following a hit and run

A Postville woman, 22-year-old Alexandria Deters, has been charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated after a hit-and-run accident Tuesday night on East Water Street.

Decorah Police received a report around 10:45 p.m. that a silver Trailblazer had struck two vehicles, then left the scene.  The vehicle was located in the Haymarket parking lot moments later, where it had struck the wall of the restaurant.

Police found Deters behind the wheel of the car.  In addition to arresting her on OWI charges, she was ticketed for striking an unattended vehicle.
