Decorah Viking basketball players raise contributions to the Humane Society

Members of the Decorah High School freshmen boys basketball team have helped the Humane Society of NE Iowa's animal shelter.

The players collected $100 in cash donations and a number of donated items that HSNEI had posted on a wish list.

After presenting the donations to the Humane Society last Saturday, the basketball players helped out further by dog walking, painting, cleaning, shoveling and playing with the cats. 

The students say they appreciate those who donated to this cause.
