Winneshiek County Habitat for Humanity is looking for a family to partner in a project in Hesper

Posted: Sun, Feb 7, 2016 4:22 PM

The Hesper Friends Meeting Church this year will be converted into a single-family home by Winneshiek County Habitat for Humanity.

WCHFH Executive Director Gus Johnson says Habitat has bought the building, but now must find a partner family for the project.

Partner families must have employment, must demonstrate that they currently have an inadequate housing situation, and must be able to invest many hours of labor into working with Habitat volunteers to build their home and the homes of others.  WCHFH houses are sold to the low-income working partner families at no profit and with no interest charged.

For further information on partner-family eligibility requirements, visit www.winneshiekhabitat.org or contact Gus Johnson at 563-382-1802 or wchfh1@gmail.com.

Winneshiek County Habitat for Humanity is a locally run affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing organization.
