The Decorah Police Department and Winneshiek County Sheriff's Department were largely quiet over the weekend--no doubt due to the cold weather.
Sheriff's Deputies arrested a 47-year-old West Union woman, Michelle Albertson, on Highway 150 around 1:45 a.m. Saturday on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated. She was taken to the Winneshiek County Jail and booked on the charge.
Meanwhile, Decorah Police responded to a two-car accident on North Street around 9:00 a.m. Saturday. Cars driven by 70-year-old Richard Williams and by 68-year-old Darrel Jensen collided in the middle of the street when the drivers both backed out of their driveways at the same time. The accident did a total of $2,000 in damages.
