The National Geographic Channel has announced that on January 31st at 8:00 p.m. they will air a TV segment they produced about "Pentecopterus Decorahensis," the six-foot-long sea scorpion that roamed the Decorah area 467 million years ago.
A video crew from National Geographic visited the Steve and Jane Hildebrand farm, where the fossil was found, late last year. http://www.decorahnews.com/archived-stories/2015/11/12235.html
"Pentecopterus Decorahensis" is one of the most impressive species found in fossil remains--six feet long, with large limbs for trapping prey.
The segment about the Decorah fossil will be called "Scorp-zilla" and will air midway through the one hour program.
