A dog is being blamed for causing a traffic on Montgomery Street Sunday evening.
Decorah Police say 55-year-old Brandon Schmidt of Decorah was traveling south on Montgomery Street around 5:45 p.m. Sunday when a dog ran out into the street in front of Schmidt's car. He braked, but the car behind him--driven by 37-year-old Adam Leuenberger of Decorah--struck the rear of Schmidt's car.
Leuenberger's car suffered $3,000 in damages to its front end, while Schmidt's car had $1,500 in damages to its rear end. Leuenberger was ticketed for driving with a revoked license.
The dog was not injured.
