1,100 high school juniors and seniors from nearly 275 Midwest schools participated at last weekend's Luther College Dorian Vocal Festival.
Each year a solo competition is held to select individuals to perform in the festival grand concert. 275 out of the 1,100 students competed for solos--and five out of the 23 singers selected for the semi-final round were Decorah High School vocalists.
Garret Baumler, Maggie Breitenstein, Naomi Davidson, Autumn DeLong and Annika Kreig were selected by judges as possible soloists for the concert.
