Accident causes $2,500 in damages

On accident Tuesday afternoon in the Day Spring Lane parking lot caused $2,500 in damages.

Decorah Police say 19-year-old Kayla Johnson of Stronghurst, Illinois had parked her car in the lot, facing the wrong driection.  She pulled out of her parking spot and attempted to make a left turn into the travel lane and the same time that 52-year-old Matthew Spencer of Decorah was backing out of another parking spot.  The two vehicles collided, causing $2,500 in damages to Johnson's vehicle.
