When Rose Peterson of Decorah went to get her mail around 11:30 Wednesday morning, she saw something she wasn't expecting--a man only wearing a light shirt, lying face down in the dirt.
Peterson's son, Larry, says they called Decorah Police, who came to the 700 block of Montgomery Street to investigate. The police detected a faint pulse and rushed the mystery person to Winneshiek Medical Center.
No other details of the incident have been released, since police treated the incident as a call for medical assistance. Since privacy laws affect the release of information by the hospital, it's not known what condition the man is in.
