


Decorah Police and Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies made three separate arrests for public intoxication on Saturday.
Winneshiek County Sheriff's Deputies arrested 31-year-old Luis Batz of Decorah around 2:00 a.m. on State Street. Batz was taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.
Decorah Police were called to the College Drive Bridge shortly before 2:30 a.m. by a report of someone having a hard time walking. 41-year-old Jason Fairchild of West Union was arrested on a charge of 3rd Offense Public Intoxication.
Then around 5:15 a.m. Decorah Police were called out by a report of three men trying to pull street signs out of the ground near Washington Street. During questioning, officers noted a strong odor of alcohol coming from 22-year-old Ryan Steffl of Mantorville, Minnesota. He was charged with public intoxication and taken to the Winneshiek County Jail.
