South Winneshiek FFA students are recognized

15 South Winneshiek FFA students have participated in the National Agricultural Proficiency Awards program.

Nine of them advanced to state competition and three advanced to Nationals. The Agricultural Proficiency Awards honor FFA members who have developed specialized skills that they can apply toward their future careers.

From South Wineshiek FFA, Joclyn Bushman also placed 1st in state in the Organic Agricultural area; Caleb Monroe placed Gold in Dairy Production - Placement; Logan Brincks placed Gold in Emerging Agricultural Technology; and Nicholas Althouse placed Bronze in Environmental Science & Natural Resources Management.
