Winneshiek Medical Center had a net profit of over half a million dollars in October.
Chief Financial Officer Lynn Luloff says the hospital had a record number of patients for an October, which offset a slight decline in clinic visits.
Revenues were $8,915,327 for October. After contractual adjustments and bad debts, net patient service revenue was $4,956,113. Because of the jump in activity at the hospital, total operating expenses of $4,669,864 were above budget, but still produced a $461,561 operating gain. Non-operating revenues of $48,215 yielded a net gain of $509,776.
Luloff says the hospital has now registered a net gain of $1,383,542 since July 1st.
