Three vehicle accident causes $6,000 in damages, results in ticket

Decorah Police were called to East Water Street at Riverside Avenue around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday.  65-year-old Delores Timmerman allegedly failed to stop at the stop sign and struck the side of a car driven by 32-year-old Amanda Jansen of Mabel.  The collision sent Jansen's van across the center line on Water Street, striking a car driven by 77-year-old Milton Barth of Chester, Minnesota.

Three people were taken to Winneshiek Medical Center to check for possible injuries.  Timmerman was ticketed for failure to obey a stop sign.
