


Friday's snowstorm resulted in two traffic accidents in the city of Decorah--one on Friday and the other on Saturday.
At 3:33 p.m. Friday, 16-year-old Lucas Sweet of Decorah lost control of his car while driving on Highway 9, going backwards into a ditch. The accident caused $3,000 in damages.
At 11:20 Saturday morning, 24-year-old Sebastian Novotny of Decorah backed into a car driven by 56-year-old Janeen Nelson of Decorah in the Wal-Mart parking lot. Novotny was ticketed for failure to have proof of insurance. The accident did $2,200 in damages.
